Who we are

Traxent is operated by Akpan Holdings Limited, a company registered in England and Wales, which is the data controller responsible for your personal data. Our platform is an educational trading tool — we do not provide financial advice, manage investments, or hold client funds.

What we collect and why

We collect the minimum data necessary to run the service, and only for the purposes set out below:

• Account name and email — handled through our authentication provider, Auth0, so you can create an account, log in, and receive service communications such as receipts and account notifications.
• Usage data — your lesson progress, simulated (paper) trades, firm selections, and similar in-product activity, so we can provide the platform, save your work, and show your prop firm readiness.
• Payment data — your subscription and billing details are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card numbers; Stripe handles them directly.
• Basic analytics — privacy-friendly, cookieless and aggregate (counts and pageviews only). No personal data, no profiles, and no cross-site tracking. See Cookies & storage below.
• Advertising (Meta Pixel) — only if you consent, we load Meta's (Facebook) pixel to measure and improve our marketing. This involves cross-site tracking. Reject it in the cookie banner and it never loads. See Cookies & storage below.

We do not collect any real trading account data, brokerage credentials, or financial account information, and we never use your data to make automated decisions that have a legal or similarly significant effect on you.

Lawful bases for processing

Under UK GDPR we rely on the following lawful bases:

• Performance of a contract — to create your account and provide the platform you have signed up for, including saving your lessons, simulated trades and firm selections, and processing your subscription.
• Legitimate interests — to keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and understand aggregate, cookieless usage so we can improve the product. We balance these interests against your rights and freedoms.
• Consent — for non-essential cookies (currently the Meta Pixel, used for advertising measurement), we ask first via our cookie banner, load them only if you accept, and let you withdraw at any time.
• Legal obligation — where we must retain certain records, such as billing information for tax purposes.

Processors and sub-processors

We use the following trusted providers to operate Traxent. Each processes data on our behalf under a data processing agreement and its own privacy policy:

• Amazon Web Services (AWS) — hosting and infrastructure, in the UK region (eu-west-2).
• Auth0 — authentication and account management (name, email, login sessions).
• Stripe — subscription billing and payment processing. Card details are handled entirely by Stripe and never stored by us.
• Plausible — privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics (aggregate counts only, no personal data).
• Formspree — processing submissions from our waitlist form.
• GitHub — source control and deployment of the website.

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.

Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription and request account deletion, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or tax purposes — for example, billing records kept by Stripe and ourselves to meet tax obligations.

Our analytics data is aggregate and cookieless, so it cannot be used to identify you, and may be retained indefinitely in that form.

Your rights under UK GDPR

As a UK resident you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access — the right to a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Rectification — the right to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Erasure — the right to request deletion of your data.
• Restriction or objection — the right to restrict or object to how we process your data, including processing based on our legitimate interests.
• Portability — the right to receive your data in a portable, machine-readable format.
• Withdraw consent — where we rely on consent, the right to withdraw it at any time.

You can manage much of this yourself: update your name and email, change or cancel your plan, and request deletion from your account page. For anything else — or to make a formal request — email us at [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to the UK's Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Cookies and storage

We keep this deliberately minimal. Traxent uses strictly necessary cookies and storage only — no consent is required for these because the site cannot work without them:

• Auth0 login session — keeps you securely signed in.
• The tx_session cookie — a routing hint that helps direct your request correctly.
• PWA / service-worker cache — stores assets locally so the app loads quickly and works offline.

In addition, we use cookieless, privacy-friendly analytics (Plausible). It measures aggregate counts and pageviews only — it sets no cookies, stores no personal data, builds no profiles, and does not track you across other websites. Because it is anonymous and consent-exempt under UK GDPR and PECR, it runs by default; we disclose it here for transparency.

With your consent, we also load the Meta Pixel (Facebook) — advertising cookies that measure our marketing and help us reach people like you. This involves cross-site tracking. It loads only after you choose "Accept" in our cookie banner; choose "Reject" and it never loads, with no loss of functionality. You can change your choice at any time by reopening the banner, and manage Meta's use of your data in your Facebook settings.

Change your cookie choices — reopen the consent banner at any time to accept or withdraw the Meta Pixel.

You can also clear or block cookies and storage in your browser settings, but blocking the strictly-necessary ones will prevent you from logging in and may stop parts of the platform from working.

Security

We take the security of your data seriously. All data is transmitted over HTTPS, passwords are never stored in plain text, and access to personal data is restricted to authorised personnel only. Our infrastructure is hosted on Amazon Web Services in the United Kingdom.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by displaying a notice on the platform. The date at the top of this page reflects when it was last updated.
